Florence may be known for Renaissance art and Tuscan sunsets, but for those of us who live and work here, the city is also a daily celebration of wine.
I’m Gabriele, a WSET Certified Educator and your host at Tuscany Uncorked Wine Tours. After years of guiding wine tasting tours in Tuscany, I want to share something a bit more personal: where I actually go when I want to enjoy wine tastings in Florence with my partner in crime Lucia.
These are not the tourist traps you’ll find on advertised on the web. They’re the wine bars where we locals hang out, where you can chat with the owners, taste wines from tiny producers, and feel the rhythm of the city beyond the postcards. Yes, there are many beautiful spots in Florence, but these six are our favorites—the ones we return to again and again.
1. Cucina Conviviale
Website: cucinaconviviale.it
Address: Via Del Cronaca 16/r, Florence
Phone: +39 055 246 6318
Opening Hours: Mon–Sun | Lunch (12 PM – 3 PM) – Dinner (7 PM – 11 PM)

Far from the crowded city center, Cucina Conviviale is a real gem in the Legnaia neighborhood. It’s part wine bar, part modern trattoria, and all about authentic flavors. Whether it’s their slow-risen focaccia filled with “Chianti tuna” (yes, really—pork confit, not fish!), or their bold wine list that champions natural and organic wines from Tuscany and beyond, this is where you’ll find us unwinding after a long day. This is really the place off the beaten path.
The staff is welcoming and the wine list avoids clichés. It’s a place that makes you feel at home. Want to pair your glass with food? Try the delicious seafood starters.
Pro tip: Their menu equally celebrates pizza, seafood, and vegetarian dishes, so there’s something for everyone. Their wine list is focused on ethical viticulture—perfect for anyone exploring wine tastings in Florence with a sustainable twist. You’ll be the only guest not speaking Italian, the place you are usually looking for when on holidays.
2. Vino al Vino
Website: vinoalvinofirenze.com
Address: Borgo Ognissanti 70/r, Florence
Phone: +39 055 267 0495
Opening Hours: Mon–Sat | Day (11 AM – 3 PM) – Evening (4:30 PM – 9 PM)

Run by Carmela Batacchi and Cosimo Giuntini, Vino al Vino is a hub for anyone passionate about natural wines. Their ever-rotating wine list is sourced from small Italian producers (and a few French gems), and every bottle tells a story. This is one of those rare places where knowledge and informality live side by side.
Come for the wine, stay for the cheese boards. They specialize in rare, handcrafted cheeses and organic charcuterie, often paired with vegetarian ingredients like pickled seaweed from the Marche. Vino al Vino also hosts themed tastings and events, making it a great place to meet winemakers or explore lesser-known varietals.
Want to taste wine in Florence like a pro? Ask about their bi-monthly guided tastings. It’s a great way to experience a curated approach to wine tasting tours in Tuscany without leaving the city.
3. Enoteca Spontanea
Instagram: @enotecaspontanea
Address: Via Maggio 61/r, Florence
Phone: +39 055 049 8258
Opening Hours: Mon–Sat | Dinner (5 PM – 11 PM) – Kitchen opens at 7 PM

This intimate restaurant and wine bar near Piazza Santo Spirito is run by siblings Nicola and Irene, and it captures everything we love about Oltrarno: unpretentious, local, and quietly brilliant. Their cellar is dedicated to rare natural wines, carefully stored and passionately poured. Nicola, a sommelier with a background in some of Florence’s best restaurants, has a story to tell about every label he serves while Irene, the soul of the Enoteca, is crafting the best food in town, bread included!
In this intimate place you can enjoy freshly homemade dishes like unforgettable pasta with seasonal sauces or a cheese plate that rivals any bistro in Paris. Sometimes we also organize wine events together!
They’re happy to walk you through their selection, so don’t hesitate to ask for a guided tasting tailored to your preferences. The vibe here is like a mini wine tour—without ever leaving the city.
Reservations recommended—it’s a small space with a big heart. Don’t miss it!
4. Vineria Sonora
Website: www.vineriasonora.it
Address: Via degli Alfani 39/r, Florence
Phone: +39 333 199 9093
Opening Hours: Tue–Sun | Evening (5 PM – 1 AM)

“Natural Wines & Groove” is their slogan, and they mean it. Vineria Sonora is one part wine bar, one part cultural hub. Vinyl records on the walls, DJs on weekends, and a list of nearly 2000 artisanal wines curated by owners Andrea and Laura.
They rotate about 30 wines by the glass each day, and their kitchen offers “Greatest Eats“—think crostini, organic cheeses, and cured meats presented with flair. There’s also a second location across the street, “Lato B“, for pop-ups and tastings like a Cicchetti Style Bar.
This is where Florence’s younger wine crowd hangs out, and it’s where we often bring friends who want something more offbeat and social. You’re just as likely to discover a new pet-nat here as you are to make a new friend.
FAQ: Are there any wineries in Florence? Not exactly—but places like Vineria Sonora bring the winery tour experience into the city.
5. Casa del Vino
Instagram: @casa_del_vino_firenze
Address: Via dell’Ariento 16/r, Florence
Phone: +39 347 065 0843
Opening Hours: Mon–Thu (10 AM – 15:30 PM) | Fri-Sat (10 AM – 10 PM)

Just steps from the Central Market, Casa del Vino is a historic wine shop run by Gianni Migliorini. This place has soul—and sandwiches. The daily menu of panini is made with incredible attention to detail, featuring ingredients like cold cuts from Chianti farmers, fresh burrata, or Tuscan tripe salad.
The wine by the glass rotates frequently and always includes excellent artisanal picks. Expect to stand and sip, elbow-to-elbow with locals, market workers, and the occasional in-the-know visitor. It’s an essential stop if you want to taste Florence beyond the obvious.
This is not a touristic wine bar. This is the real deal, so no comfortable seats or bathroom, but real old school Tuscan vibes.
6. La Divina Enoteca
Website: ladivinaenoteca.it
Address: Via Panicale 19/r, Florence
Phone: +39 055 29 2723
Opening Hours: Tue–Sun (10:30 AM – 8:30 PM)

Built on the bones of a historic grocery store from the late 1800s, La Divina Enoteca is a love letter to Florentine tradition. It features original marble fixtures, restored 19th-century wine tanks, and a curated wine selection that speaks to Tuscany’s best-kept secrets.
They offer daily wine tastings, including regional flights, and small plates featuring crostini, baccalà, and fresh pasta dishes. I really love the Porcinello panino! You can even buy and ship bottles internationally. The owners Livio (best sommelier of Italy 2014) and Bianca are passionate about connecting visitors with Tuscany’s wine heritage.
Tuscany Uncorked Tip: Ask for a custom tasting flight if you’re short on time. Great for travelers who want a quick but meaningful wine tasting in Florence.
